Welcome my blogger friends to a huge surprise for me. My sister not only got the pictures from Doug's 50th birthday developed in the same year as his birthday but in the same decade! I am in shock and of course I had to share them with you! We had the party at my Mom's home. This is Doug and my sister's husband.
Does this cake qualify for Cake Wrecks? It is creepy to me. Those are supposed to be
balloons.
We set it up buffet style with chairs and trays throughout.
Here is Doug getting ready to gobble up. Lots of food fun and friends. Thought I would share some candid shots from the evening.
And this is my wonderful family, sister, step daughter, grandson, hubby and beautiful Mom
My computer is still slow as can be. I sure am missing visiting everyone's blogs and can't wait to get this corrected. I still love your comments.
Beautiful family my friend, beautiful indeed!!!

What a wonderful birthday celebration and a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great family event and making memories. How is Ning adjusting?
ReplyDeleteJeanette, it sure looks like y'all had a great time. Hope he has many many more birthdays and all are as happy as this one seems to be.

Happy belated birthday to you Doug! I think this room will be a beautiful setting for you luncheon. It was so nice to speak with you yesterday and I'm sending the cards as I promised. I'm also on the lookout for the recipe I mentioned to you.
ReplyDeleteOh so nice to be able to relive all the fun of the party through the pictures. Glad they were developed in a somewhat timely manner :-)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to have you back!
Can you believe how FAST those 50th birthdays come? We sent my husband skydiving for his 50th :)

The way I look at it, NOTHING is bad as long as it's chocolate. Actually, I LOVE the little squiggly colors all around it - like streamers. One of my favorite quotes applies here ... "when life gets sticky...dip it in chocolate!" Everything about the day looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoy your blog. Would love to count you a friend & have you follow me as well as I will you.
Blessings ~ Merana
Hey there, Jeanette. I hope all is going well for you. Miss you.
ReplyDeleteI have missed you too! I hope you are well.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Donna
Hope it was a fun day with lovely family. I will definitely go for one of the spacious event venues for our official success party soon. Will order some nice gifts for all employees as it is all possible because of their hard work. Caterers and bakers will be of high quality. Cake cutting ceremony and motivational speech will be done by our honorable chief guest.
