A very bad week at the Parsons!

Hello from Sunny Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this is Doug filling in today for Jeanette.

I' m adding some very sad news to all of our Blogger friends. Last Saturday afternoon we lost our precious Keelie. She was the heart of this family and we know from all the previous posts SHE was the Boss. She was hit by a car right in front of our house. And to make things worse the guy NEVER stopped. Jeanette was right there for her but couldn't do anything to help her. She died in Mom's arms.

It will be a few days till Jeanette will be back to posting. It's been an extremely hard week for us both. She has had the brunt of it. It's been so hard from 8000 miles away to do anything but have tears and communicate by Skype with Jeanette. We have many many wonderful memories which at times makes it harder to cope.

So everyone I will be keeping people updated as best I can and Jeanette will be back soon.

Dad loves you Keelie and misses you!!

  2. Oh no! I know your hearts must be breaking. I so sorry for your loss.

Take your time Jeannette - don't feel you have to rush back to blogging...and thanks Doug, for letting us all know about your loss.

I know we would be heart-broken if anything happened to our pups.

    We'll be praying...

  3. Such sad news. Just yesterday we had to bring our sweet Chloe to the University of Pennsylvania where she is now fighting for her little life. It was very sudden and the family is taking it very hard. I'm so sorry for you both.

  5. Awww...that is a tragic loss in a family, and I am sorry to hear this. That is sad that the car did not even stop, I would be devastated had I done that, and would get out crying and hugging the family, I know this of me.....

  10. Oh my heart is just breaking for you! I'm so sorry -- I sure hate to think the driver knew what happened and kept going. Please know that we certainly share this sorrow with you both. So many of us have fur babies too, and know that special love and bond. Please accept my sincere condolances. I hope that the days ahead will be easier and brighter and that Easter and Spring will bring some new joys your way.

  13. Oh, how sad. What a terrible loss. I'm so sorry for you. I've lost a doggie before, and I grieved for the longest time. My current one is almost 16 years old, and I dread the day she passes. She's in doggy heaven, cause all dogs go to heaven.

  17. I'm so very sorry. I had the same thing happen to our yorkie of 5 years just a few weeks ago. Right in front of my parents house when we were visiting, and the person never stopped. So horrible! Hugs. I'm so so so sorry. :(
