The Best Laid Plans!

Welcome blogger friends.  Lets talk baby showers.

After months of looking for the perfect invitation, I found it.  Jan at FourHarp Design http://www.etsy.com/shop/fourharpdesigns
designed this wonderful shower invitation.  We got the inspiration from the mom to be's
choice of bedding.  I got almost all of the invitations out on July 12, 2010.
It took a long time to find a venue in my budget that would hold all our guests and be air conditioned!
I bought enough solid white bibs and non toxic paint for everyone to decorate them with.
The shower favor was inspired by http://gordongossip.blogspot.com/

to a salt shaker filled with sugar and cinnamon.

But then, on July 14, 2010  our Bella made an unexpected arrival.  She is the tiniest thing I have seen in my whole life.  And she is beautiful.  I have a cold so I had to wear a mask but I could still see that little beauty.  She is healthy and strong, just very tiny.  I saw those little fingers and toes and sat in sheer amazement.   The new mom is not up to a shower so we are doing something else.
Welcome home our precious Bella, Aunt Nette and Uncle Doug are already thinking of ways to spoil you. Your beautiful Momma and dotting Daddy don't have a chance in this world.  There are too many people just waiting to spoil and cuddle you.

Thank you for visiting and sharing our wonderful news.

  2. Glenda thank you but we are Aunt Nette and Uncle Doug to everyone! Keeli (her mom) was our pharmacy tech. We fell in love with her about 6 years ago. So much that I named my precious puggle after her.

  3. Jeanette,

How exciting! The invitations you picked and designed are simply elegant! Yes, sometimes our best laid plans... well... get way laid by the early arrival of joy! I pray you get over your cold quickly, so you can start spoiling the sweet thing to pieces!

I wanted to thank you for the donation made in memory of our Abby Lynn. It came in the mail on Friday and Madison and I had the honor of opening and reading the sweet attached card. What a blessing to our family. I immediately put the PAW on the back of my car, which Wayne noticed right away when he arrived home from work. We are humbled and honored. And now when I see my car, I'll have a special way of remembering both Abby, Keelie and you!

  10. Intent counts for much in life. The invitations are great and I'm sure the shower would have been wonderful. A healthy baby and a mom who made it safely through delivery are a blessing. Have a great day...Mary

  11. Well...a healthy baby is the important thing for sure. I'd send the bibs to the guests and have them go ahead and decorate them, such a cute idea. I can't wait to see a picture!

  14. I second what Mary said. It's the thought that counts. I'm glad baby and mom are doing well.

    Hope you're feeling better soon.
