Welcome friends, thank you for stopping in. Here I am showing the honest way we live. I might have to admit that Josh is really the person behind the curtain writing the blog, but she is just not that into it. Can you see her in all that mess? I was working on sending out birthday cards and St. Patty's Day cards so that is the stack of mess beside the bed. We had a king size adjustable bed and it would not fit in the house in Chicago. So we bought a cheap headboard for this queen bed. I just threw the comforter over the headboard cause with dogs, comforters just don't work. For us coverlets work best. This is Josh with her St. Patty's day bandanna. She hates it. I guess that look on her face tells it all. We took it off as soon as Doug (yes Dee Dee still Doug) got the picture.
This is Keelie. She loves the bandannas but even Josh hates them on her we have sprayed some bitter apple on Keelie's bandannas so maybe Josh will leave them alone
And finally I want to show you the one and only sorta crafty thing I have done. When we remodeled about 5 years ago I hung this mural. I fell in love with it. It came in panels and I had to miter the corners. Before we moved I had really cute curtains from floor to ceiling on either side of it. Now I don't know what I am going to do. And one more picture of it. I am really proud of it.

Well that is all for today. Do you think Josh really writes the blog? Didn't I do a great job on that mural? Thank you so much for stopping in!
beautiful, did you paint it?
ReplyDeleteJeanette,
ReplyDeleteWhat shall I do with you my dear, you make me smile! (My biggest joy is hearing that since Doug took the picture, he's still home!)
Now as far as Josh doing the writing, I would have pegged Keelie to be the master blogger! Tell Josh she really must leave Keelie's bandanna alone. Excellent job on the mural!

Too funny girl..Love your mural did you paint it...nosey minds and all want to know ha ha!! Hope you have a great day my friend...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. Sometimes I think my pup writes my blog...my fingers get going too fast for my brain and I see the typos!
ReplyDeleteSue
That look on Josh's face is priceless! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. I will also ask - Did you paint the picture?
My dogs actually LOVE to get their new seasonal bandanas and dresses. Buster REALLY loves whenever Weezie gets a new outfit. He also gets very "happy" when she gets a bath.
ReplyDeleteTalk to you soon ;)
Bunny Jean
I love the bandanna's! Glad Doug is still home. The picture is lovely!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think Josh wrote the blog, I think Keely did. :P Lovely artwork and frame. Yep, good job!
ReplyDeleteJosh is too funny. We try to put outfits or bandannas on our dog, Scarlett, and she will just stand in one place stiff as a board until you give in and take it off. Don't our pups bring us so much love and joy?
ReplyDeleteI could never get my little dog to wear a thing so I had to smile at your photo. Did you paint the mural? Inquiring minds want to know.

I've been meaning to comment on your post from a few days ago (in regards to you updating your home) I have always found that searching thru magazines and cutting out favorite pictures (and now searching thru blogs and "peeking into blogger's homes) really helps. I actually have looked at the same photos or pictures over and over and over - and really picked them apart to see exactly what it is that draws me in.....and sometimes its just ONE thing that I can do to change and update a whole room (a color, or an accent table, or a comforter)....and of course, posting a few areas of your home and asking blogging advice might really give you some great ideas.....so maybe this might help. And by the way, how's everything going with your hubby out of the country?
ReplyDeleteYou sure did...it looks great!
ReplyDeleteJosh reminds me of the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz :) I love your mural! It is a gorgeious scene! I would love to see a picture of it with the curtains on the sides. Josh's face in the bandana made me laugh--glad you took it off!
ReplyDeleteAhhh Josh looks so unhappy in that bandana. My dog Jack gets the same look when we try to decorate him too! Putting his coat on to walk in the snow...that's a different story, then he is just beaming!
ReplyDeleteI dooo love your mural~
Hi Jeannette! Just wanted to let you know, I finally posted pics of Co Co!!
ReplyDeleteMele tolerates much from me, but I don't think she would tolerate me tieing anything around her neck.
ReplyDeleteThe mural is lovely. Did you paint it?
Thank you for your sweet comment on Patrick...:)
