Doug got his airline confirmation today!  He will be home Oct 12 and go back Nov 11.  I am so excited.  I told him to bring suitcases full of scarves and silk!  He has plenty of fall clothes here.  Sure does not need them in Saudi.   We are going to do some traveling (including seeing that Grandson!)

He is going to try to find something in the States but his contract does not expire until Feb/2011.  He has to decide by Nov 15th if he will sign for another year.  With 9.6% unemployment in our area I am afraid he will have sign for another year.  But we will see.

Doin' the happy dance!

  1. So happy for you!! I know you will enjoy his time home!!!

  2. Thanks so much for visiting and your kind comments. I know your doing the happy dance right now, enjoy your time together. I know what you go through my hubby works away too, although I only have to go a few weeks before he comes home each time. A big job keeping up the house, a teenager at home, part time job and my little rescued babies. Talk later I hope.

  3. How wonderful that he's coming home...if only for a short time...I remember when he doesn't seem that long ago but I bet to you it's been a lifetime....Enjoy!!

  4. Yay!! I know you will cherish every minute that he is home!! Let the countdown begin!!

  5. I know you are counting the days!

  6. Jeanette,
I'm so excited for you! I'll be in prayer as you and doug make this next major decision. Of course my "bent" will be towards Doug getting to stay home and work.
    Take care....
    Dee Dee

  7. Hi Jeanette,
That is very exciting news indeed! It will be fun to visit the grandson together.

  8. Oh, how exciting! I hope he can find something in the states. I don't know how you stand it. Is it possible for you to move somewhere if he found a job somewhere not local? I would think moving would be better than being separated.

  9. Whoo Hooo, happy feet a'dancing! That's such good news!

  10. Let me turn up the music for you to dance to my sweet friend!

  11. Oh how wonderful that he is coming home. Yes, the job market here is terrible. It would be nice if he could find something.
You said you don't have a cloche. That's ok, we include cheese/cake domes, apothecary jars and hurricanes or just about anything you can dream up to decorate inside. Hope you will join the fun. Hugs, Marty

  12. Oh honey I bet you are doing the Happy Dance. If I could I would join you. haha
That is wonderful exciting news and I do wish he could find something so he could stay home with you.
I know how hard it is missing him and wanting him there with you.
My case of course is different mine ran off with his high school sweetheart but for years I missed him so much I thought I would not make it through another day but I did. so I have a little clue of how you miss not having him around you.
It's hard having to do everything yourself too.
Let's start a prayer now that when he gets here a job just falls in his lap.
    Love ya

  13. I know you can't wait! Yes, it is terrible out there, so many unemployed for so long.
And now the market tanking again!

  14. Hooray! I have my fingers and toes crossed that he can find something in the states...and hopefully in the peach state! I bet you are sooooooo excited. Throw a party. :)
